Fort Benning is home to the largest United States Army Base.  It has over 114,184 acres of soldier training facilities for the US Army 3^rd Infantry Division and is home to the well known Army Rangers and Airborne schools.  Fort Benning facilitates the majority of its soldiers in the subdivisions known as The Villages.  The Villages is designed to be a secure get away for the soldiers and their families.  The centrally located village centers inside The Villages feature beach style swimming pools, game rooms and community banquet rooms.   The Villages are also equipped with dog parks and tot lots throughout the properties.  Dixie Landscape Company has installed landscape and irrigation on over seven hundred homes with several more hundred to come in the future.  The streets at The Villages are lined with various hard wood trees that will shade the streets in the years to come.  In terms that the Army would say “We are building for the future”.
